MANNA...we can only imagine their many challenges since Helene. Manna deliveries began bi-weekly in January delivering food items and TEFAP, and initiated a new operating system for purchasing. Manna's new ordering system allows us to view the item we are receiving. Pictures of the front and back of cans can be viewed allowing us to view the nutritional content.
This week we received 6,500 pounds of food. With our order were 125 dozen cartons of eggs, assorted meats including whole chickens, pork and beef, mixed can food boxes, snacks, and 600 pounds of produce. TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) also provided assorted canned good, Swiss and cheddar cheese, figs, and raisins.
Please continue saving your egg cartons and plastic bags for us. We encourage our neighbors to bring their reusable bags. Our prayer shawl ministry meets twice a month knitting/crocheting/quilting prayer squares, shawls and hats. Please join us.
We welcomed 116 families representing 416 individuals and fifteen new families. We continue to need volunteers who can help with Spanish registrations. Once a month would be very helpful!
On behalf of our Pantry Board, we express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous food and monetary donations to our pantry. Your donations will make a significant impact on the lives of those in our community who are struggling with food insecurity.
